Sing me a Carol

Sing me a Carol

I wrote this song a year ago but being the procrastinating writer that I am, it took me a year before I finally sat down to complete it and record a demo.

Sing me a Carol

I used to sing carols for Christmas
And write all those cards oh for Christmas

But now things have changed
Too busy with things that don’t stay

I miss all my old friends this Christmas
The good times we shared with past Christmas

Cause now I’ve lost track
I’m too caught up in my own game

So sing me a Carol
Surprise me with Gifts
Wake up this young child
Sleeping inside of me
Please sing a carol to me

Remind me of true love this Christmas
Of giving and sharing this Christmas

While I play and take
He gave up his life for my sake

Sing me the reason for Christmas
The child we remember on Christmas

Who gave his own life
While I spent my days my own way

Sing me a Carol
Surprise me with Gifts
Remember that young child
Was born here so I could be free

Please sing a carol to me
